For new business owners, obtaining your latest credit report is recommended to understand how lenders will view your loan application and risk level. Business Development Funding

             For business owners interested in developing their own business plan, the state

             provide grants up to 75% of tuition costs for state approved programs.

             The state will provide grants up to $3,000 towards professional business planning

             services in select industry clusters.

             Wisconsin has tailored a variety of funding programs to spur new technology

             development and entrepreneurship. This includes the new Wisconsin

             Entrepreneur Network (WEN) and Wisconsin Angel Network (WAN). 

Grant R&D Resources

             Group provides resources and expertise to assist companies with grant writing

             porjects including SBIR/STTR's.

             Learn about federal R&D grant programs.

             Partnership intermediary sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense

             and the Air Force Research Laboratory. Delivers daily notifications of DoD R&D

             opportunities to registered small and large businesses.

Business Setup Resources

             This state maintained site walks you thru licensing, registration and other key

             aspects of setting up your business correctly and legally.

             View a streaming video of an IRS Small Business Workshop, take an IRS course

             or complete an online self-directed version of a workshop taught live around the

             country.

             Helps employers determine which laws administered by the Department of Labor

            apply to them and how to comply with these laws.

             These tax payer funded centers provide business owners with a wide range of
